Jaan is a guitar instructor and musician whose passion for teaching and performing has spanned over two decades. Specializing in blues, rock, metal, and funk, Jaan has given private guitar lessons at all levels.

He has also taught group courses that blend live classroom instruction with MatchMySound’s online feedback, creating a fun and effective hybrid learning experience. His master’s degree in interpretative pedagogy led him to study innovative online teaching methods. In his role at MatchMySound, he’s focused on developing guitar course materials and enhancing the product to shape the future of music education.

Kristo is a classical guitarist, an experienced guitar teacher, and a researcher, whose PhD work has led him to study the effects of automatic feedback in music education.

He stumbled upon the idea for MatchMySound in 2013 while promoting his guitar method book. He offered to give feedback to students who sent in their practice audio, and soon found himself overwhelmed with student audio submissions.
